Yes. The device communicates directly with the Globalstar satellite network, so it does not require cell towers. It only needs a clear view of the sky to send its location.

How long does the battery last?

Thanks to the 0.125 W solar panel, the device recharges continuously with natural light. Under normal conditions (2–4 hours of indirect sunlight per day), the 150 mAh battery stays charged indefinitely.

In which countries does it work?

The service is optimized for regions with Satellite coverage, including: United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and northern South America. Performance depends on open exposure.

Is it waterproof and mudproof?

Yes. The SolarSentry™ is rated IP68 (certification pending), meaning it's completely dustproof and can be submerged up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.
